Greater Columbia Executive Officer to Lead NAHB's EOC Council

Greater Columbia HBA Executive Officer Earl McLeod has been selected to lead the 2008 NAHB Executive Officers Council (EOC). McLeod will be installed as the 2008 EOC President at the International Builders Show on Tuesday, February 12th at the Orlando Peabody Hotel at noon. All South Carolina members in attendance are urged to attend the installation ceremony in support of McLeod and the Palmetto State.

As EOC President, McLeod will take on many responsibilities, in addition to his responsibilities to the Greater Columbia HBA. He will preside at EOC meetings and the EOC Board of Directors; represent the EOC at various meetings and events; and report to the NAHB Executive Board. The president will also have general duties, such as appointing committee chairs and members, attending committee meetings, contributing a column to Perspectives, and many other duties as outlined in the EOC Governance Manual.

The EOC is a professional organization open to all association executives who manage the more than 800 local and state builder associations affiliated with NAHB. The EOC strives to provide the highest level of effective and efficient services to its members and to benefit the industry members of NAHB by enhancing the professionalism of the executive officers of NAHB state and local associations through forums for training and education, networking and interpersonal communication opportunities, and forums for assisting the NAHB in improving and developing its builder and associate membership.
