HBASC Members Make SC Top Businesses Lists

Several Home Builders Association members around the state recently made the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce's South Carolina 100 and 25 Fastest-Growing Companies ranking lists in 2007.

The South Carolina 100 is in its 23rd year and ranks the state's largest privately-owned companies. Data is compiled by Grant Thornton, LLP, the fifth largest accounting firm in the United States. C. Ray Miles Construction Co., Inc., in Lugoff and Allora, LLC, in Greenville made the list for the first time. General Wholesale Distributors, LLC, in Greenville was among a few companies that jumped up ten spots from 2006.

The SC Chamber of Commerce has been compiling the Fastest-Growing Companies list for the past six years. Elliott Davis, LLC, one of South Carolina's leading accounting and business advisory firms, co-sponsors the list along with the Chamber. According to the Chamber, this year's winners increased their gross revenues from 90 percent to 397 percent.
