Usher Named to Greenville County Planning Commission
Todd Usher, president of Addison Homes, LLC, has been appointed to a three-year term as the District 21 Representative on the Greenville County Planning Commission. Usher is a green building consultant and homebuilder that constructs all new homes to EarthCraft House™ and ENERGY STAR® standards.
The Planning Commission consists of nine members that are appointed by Greenville County Council. Its mission is to promote managed growth in Greenville County by maintaining a comprehensive planning program which minimizes land use conflicts, coordinates the provision of public services, and optimizes the quality of life for all county residents.
A regional leader in green building, Addison Homes LLC was named 2007 EarthCraft House™ Regional Builder of the Year. Usher is a certified LEED™ For Homes Representative - one of about 20 individuals in the Southeast designated to help builders and homeowners certify homes to the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) For Homes residential green building standards developed and administered by the U.S. Green Building Council. He also is a certified ENERGY STAR® rater and an approved instructor for the National Association of Home Builders.
