FRAUD ALERT: National Directory Scam

A money-making scam has reached many of our members under the NAHB and HBASC names. A postcard or letter, which appears to be from the NAHB and the HBASC, has been sent to members asking for contact information, business information, and membership dues. The postcard/letter is stamped “Membership Renewal” and has a return address listed as South Carolina Builders and National Home Builders Directory. It is in no way related to the NAHB or the HBASC. The HBASC has already informed S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster of the scam. If you receive this postcard/letter, throw it away. Do not send your information or money.
