Locals Win State Awards

South Carolina’s local home builders associations took home top honors at the 2008 HBASC Convention. Winners were recognized at the keynote session on August 1. Congratulations winners!

The HBA of Spartanburg’s website was completely redesigned to improve the online marketability of the HBA and to create an online center of information for members. Re-launched last year, it now serves as a one stop shop for members and the community.

HBA of Greenville The HBA of Greenville raised over $25,000 through silent auctions, dues contributions, and additional individual donations to fund 2008 campaign activity at the local level. Activities included campaign contributions, 3 independent expenditure postcard mailings, and joining Voter Voice to enable grassroots targeted messages.

The Southern Home & Garden Show has been going strong since 1962 and this year was no exception. It started out with 50 exhibitors occupying 7,800 net square feet. This year, the show featured 344 exhibitors on more than 65,000 net square feet. The Southern Home & Garden Show showcases products and services for home building, remodeling, landscaping, and interior design.

For over a year, the HBA of Greenville’s Builder Review has been published as part of the Greenville News Home and Garden tabloid with over 58,000 copies distributed monthly. The printing and overruns are provided free of charge to the HBA. Not only does it reach members, but it also reaches potential members and the general public.

HBA of the Greater Pee Dee
This 112-page Tour of Homes book got the stamp of approval from builders and advertisers. Every business featured in the book was surveyed for feedback. The HBA of the Greater Pee Dee received overwhelming responses of satisfaction. They even get consumer requests for the book year round.
