NAHBGreen: Open for Business with Your HBA

The NAHBGreen Affiliation Enrollment Form is now available to all state and local EOs and HBA green building program managers. It’s been a long time coming, but thanks to the work of the EOs and member volunteers who have toiled since last winter to find the best way to turn local HBA green building programs into a great national network – it’s here!

If your HBA did not get a copy of the form to complete, or if you would like to get more information about how affiliation works, contact Green Building Program Manager Emily English at 800-368-5243, x8366, and she can fill you in.

A recent survey of state and local home building associations by the NAHB green building staff revealed that an amazing 190 HBAs are in the green building business – up from less than 40 in May 2007! Some of these HBAs offer certification services, some organize green parades or home expos and many more hold green educational and training opportunities for members. Others are just getting started – or have been awaiting the opportunity to affiliate with NAHBGreen.

The NAHB National Green Building Program provides education and recognition for your builders, remodelers and developer members, verification and certification services for homes, and advocacy and outreach for your state and local home building associations. Spread the great green news and give your members more exposure when your association joins this dynamic network.
