The New PREP

We are delighted to announce that the newly revised PREP is available in pilot form. We have made several changes to the format and to the type of questions in this new PREP. The NAHB University of Housing is required to have 100 assessments taken and their results analyzed by the testing consultant before we can return the scores. We anticipate your scores to be returned in early December. In order to compensate students for the delay we have discounted the price of the assessment to $95 from now through November. Please feel free to contact Tara Occhipinti at The NAHB University of Housing if you have any questions regarding the new PREP. Now is an excellent time to get your remodelers engaged and to try out the new PREP.

One instructor format approved for IRM I, II & IV

In an effort to alleviate some of the costs associated with offering the IRM courses that require the two instructor format, the National Sales and Marketing Council and Institute of Residential Marketing Board of Trustees approved the motion – “to allow one principal instructor to teach for IRM I, II and IV classes and one principal instructor plus a merchandiser to teach the IRM III classes. This temporary instructor format is valid until December 31, 2010”

As challenges within the housing market persist, we must all work together to provide our members with educational opportunities to help them thrive. NAHB is encouraging licensed HBAs to take advantage of the marketing and promotional tools available to them on the NAHB website. As always, thank you for your support of education.
