IRC Code Update Class Will be Given Twice at State Convention; Approved for CEU

The 2006 IRC goes into effect July 1, 2009. If you haven't already taken an IRC Update Class, plan on attending one of two classes on Friday, July 24 during this year's state convention. This course has been approved for 2 Certified Master Builder CEUs and 2 CEUs for S.C. Building Codes officials.

You will not have to sit through an all day class, because ours is only two hours long. But you can rest assured that you will be well informed on all of the changes.

Instructor Andy Barber will cover give a general review of the IRC 2006 and the S.C. Amendments that go into effect July 1, 2009. He will also cover the major code changes implemented with the adaptation of this code, as well as review all of the standing amendments that have been approved by the S.C. legislature and are in effect. Barber will also explain the changes to S.C. Energy Codes by the implementation of the IECC 2006 that goes into effect along with the IRC 2006.

To attend the 2006 IRC Update course at the convention, you must register for the 2009 HBASC State Convention.
