CEDIA Offers Home Technology Courses for NAHB Continuing Education
To get an edge in the market, builders know they have to differentiate themselves and keep up with the ever-changing expectations of potential customers. Staying abreast of the latest home electronics trends and techniques is a great way to strengthen business. Courses offered by the Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association (CEDIA; http://www.cedia.net/) are geared toward the needs of design and build professionals and explore the benefits associated with builders incorporating home technology into current and future projects.
CEDIA offers NAHB members two avenues to take education, on line and instructor-led. Currently, nine courses applicable to continuing education for multiple NAHB designations are available online. Topics include:
• Fundamentals of Home Theater Design
• Introduction to Sub-System Design • The Designer, the Client, and the Process
Course information is available through NAHB’s Continuing Education Directory at www.nahb.org/cedirectory or from CEDIA at www.cedia.net/education/ or by calling Ileah Baier, CEDIA Technical Training Assistant at 317-328-4336.
By taking advantage of CEDIA education, NAHB members can learn how home technology can help increase home energy efficiency, client satisfaction and profitability!
Attention Local Executive Officers!
Instructor-led education options are also available for chapter meetings, events and/or conferences through CEDIA’s Registered Outreach Instructor (ROI) program. Currently offered are 11 free one-hour courses, delivered by CEDIA members.
