The Home Builders Association of South Carolina announces the call for entries for the 2009 Pinnacle Awards. The Pinnacle Awards Committee has made several changes to the awards program to ensure accurate and fair results and a more convenient and easier registration and submittal process.

Entry packets are available online at www.hbaofsc.com. When you download your packet, you’ll notice many improvements and additions.

• PayPal - Online payment of registration fees are now being accepted at www.hbaofsc.com through PayPal, one of the most secure online credit card payment services. PayPal accepts all major credit cards. Credit card payment may still be made through the HBASC office; however, we only accept VISA and MasterCard.
• Price of the lot – When we determine the category for your entry, we will not consider the price of the lot for custom homes. Only production (or semi-custom) builders should include the price of the home on their registration form.
• Judging – At least two judges (builders, remodelers, architects, etc.) will judge their designated category of homes.
• New ways to submit material – Supporting materials may be submitted electronically via email. The traditional hardcopy and CD submittal process will also be accepted; however, notebooks will not be issued.
• Certified Master Builder discount – CMBs get a $50 discount on new homes and remodeling projects entries and a $25 discount on sales & marketing entries.
• Awards Gala – For the first time, the Pinnacle Awards Gala at the Celebration of Excellence will round out the state convention on June 23, 2010 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa.

Don’t wait too long to register your winning home. Registration deadline is December 30, 2009. Supporting materials must be turned in to the HBASC by February 1, 2010. If one of your homes has won a local HBA award (annual awards, tour of homes, parade of homes, etc.) then take your winning home to the next level. Enter the 2009 Pinnacle Awards today!

The Pinnacle Awards Gala at the Celebration of Excellence, along with the S.C. Housing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, will be on June 23, 2010 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa.
