Pre-Requisite Exams to NAHB Designations Being Offered at HBASC Office, Convention

Do you want to get your Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) or Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) designation from the NAHB? Your first step towards obtaining either designation is taking an assessment, and the Home Builders Association of South Carolina is offering four opportunities here in your back yard to take the assessment.

The Builder Review Assessment (BAR) and the Professional Remodeler Experience Profile (PREP) exams determine which NAHB courses you must take to get your designation. Some builders/remodelers have only had to take one course, while others have had to take more than one. The exams are simple to prepare for – the NAHB has sample test questions posted on their website.

The registration fee for the exams is $195 and you must register no later than two weeks prior to the scheduled date (see registration for deadlines). Each exam lasts about three hours and covers areas of home building and remodeling like building technology, estimating, sales and marketing, and other areas.
