The HBA of SC Governmental Affairs department advocates for public policies aimed at ensuring an adequate supply of quality, affordable housing in South Carolina. In doing so, the HBA of SC is working hard to increase homeownership in South Carolina and promote a healthy, growing state economy.

Issue Tracking

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina tracks issues that affects home building in our sate in order to keep our members aware of the actions of local jurisdictions, and to ensure that our industry - and our members - has a level, fair playing field.

 
Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee examines, reports and makes recommendations on local, state and national legislation affecting the home building industry.
 
Regulatory Affairs Committee
The Regulatory Affairs Committee examines, reports and makes recommendations on local, state and national regulations affecting the home building industry.
 
South Carolina Builders PAC

The South Carolina Builders Political Action Committee (PAC) is a non-partisan committee that provides financial support to political candidates and their campaigns for election to local and state offices. Support is given to candidates who are friends of the building industry.

 
Voter Voice

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina is proud to offer Voter Voice - a customized, online service designed to mobilize building industry constituents and others at the grassroots level.
