The HBASC is all about having fun, and with this year's theme, Come Sail Away, we plan on providing a variety of great activities from a treasure hunt at the trade show to a Gilligan's Island themed Spike Reception and finale party. Costumes for the last two events are not required, but they're definitely encouraged!

Celebration of Excellence & PAC Silent Auction

We’re pulling up the anchor and heading in a new direction. Kick off your convention fun with the 2010 Celebration of Excellence, where the S.C. Housing Hall of Fame will induct its newest member(s) and the Pinnacle Awards will be presented. Preview the SC Builders PAC Silent Auction here. This black tie optional event is included in convention registration and babysitting services will be available until 10:00 p.m.

Castaway Costume Spike Club Reception

Have you been lost at sea? No worries! Our Spike Club tugboat will bring you to dock. Gilligan, Skipper, Mary Anne, Ginger, Mr. Howell or Ms. Howell. Which one are you? Dress as your favorite character, wander over to tiki shelter and discover a cocktail hour just for Spike Club members. Some prizes may be in store for some lucky castaways.  To qualify for the Spike Club Party, you must be a current Spike Club Member and earn at least 1 Spike Creidt between May 20, 2010 and June 1, 2011.

We’re throwing our biggest life preserver out to pull everyone in for a costume and dinner party. Come in costume -- Gilligan’s Island or some other tropical character. There’s food, drinks and even challenges to test your island knowledge and skills. Get your HBA team together now!

Kids' Activities
The 47th Annual State Convention is a family affair, so bring your kids to fun-filled Myrtle Beach. Our babysitters are coming back and they're here to help you have fun while they take good care of your children during the Celebration of Excellence, Spike Reception and Finale Dinner. Kids get to have fun with crafts, games, and movies. There's also the beach and pool to take advantage of too.
