For Education Providers
Increase attendance at your next education session. Learn how easy it is to get your course approved for CMB credit.

Getting a course approved for CMB credit is simple. Just complete the required forms and submit them to the HBASC Certified Master Builder program.

NAHB Courses
NAHB University of Housing Courses do not need to be submitted to the CMB program for approval. They've already been approved! The list below shows how each University of Housing course can help you fulfill the CMB education requirement.

You still need to inform the HBASC staff of the scheduled course(s) and submit the following paperwork to the HBASC office after the course(s) has/have been given.

  • NAHB University of Housing Sign-In Sheet
  • NAHB University of Housing Course Evaluation Sheets (completed by students)
  • NAHB University of Housing Instructor Evaluation Sheet (completed by instructor)

Local Courses
Courses being offered outside of the NAHB University of Housing system, must be submitted for CMB credit approval at least 30 days in advance of the course date. The Education Committee will review the course content, assign credit hours and credit type, and the HBASC staff will inform you the status. HBASC staff will provide you with the appropriate paperwork for the course. After the course has been given, you must return copies of the following to the HBASC office:
  • CMB Sign-in Sheet
  • CMB Student Evaluations
  • CMB Instructor Evaluations

Important Notice
If the required paperwork is not returned to the HBASC office following course completion, students WILL NOT receive CMB credit.
