When HBASC President Jim Gregory was asked to appoint a Convention Committee chairman, he wasted no time in appointing Lou Hutchings of GBS Lumber in Greer, S.C. Lou graciously accepted the challenge to lead the 2009 State Convention Committee and played an important role in making the convention a great success. Even though Lou suffered heart problems and underwent bypass surgery, he still managed to lead the Committee with the help of co-chair Marie Edlin.
Lou continues to serve on the Convention Committee (and Marie too!) and has volunteered to recruit sponsorships for the 2010 State Convention in Hilton Head. So, you can look forward to hearing from Lou and other members of the Convention Committee asking for your support as a sponsor of the convention. Without the support of HBA members like Lou Hutchings, HBA events would not run so smoothly. |
