The Home Builders Association of South Carolina is a professional, non-profit association committed to promoting housing for people of all income levels and the production of quality homes.

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina's membership comprises about 6,400 home builders, trade contractors, suppliers and industry professionals.

Through HBA of SC, members can confront and obtain solutions to a multitude of building-related issues. HBA of SC links the individual member to the entire industry by providing information, educational and technical services, as well as networking opportunities through meetings and special events. Responding to the varied specialties within the home building industry, HBA of SC also has individual councils and committees that address issues from our members’ unique perspectives.

Executive Officer Mark Nix oversees a staff of 6 talented professionals. HBA of SC's board of directors and officers is elected annually. The 2008 President is Bill Smith of W.G. Smith Construction.
