Greenville HBA Names New Executive Officer |

Michael Dey has been named Executive Officer of the Home Builders Association of Greenville. Michael comes to the HBA of Greenville from Columbia where he was president of Michael Dey Public Relations, a government affairs consulting firm. He has represented numerous clients before local, state, and federal governments on a variety of issues including real estate development, environmental, healthcare and recreation. A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Journalism, Michael also has been a lobbyist with the Home Builders Association of South Carolina and the South Carolina Association of Realtors. In addition, he has held government affairs positions with homebuilders associations in Atlanta and Winston-Salem, and the Winston-Salem Association of Realtors. Michael’s wife, Karen, is an executive with South Carolina Bank and Trust. The couple has two children, Patrick and Stacey. “I am excited about the opportunity to work with the leadership and members of the Home Builders Association of Greenville to advance the work of homebuilders in the community,” Michael said. “HBA of Greenville has a history of strong community service, and its work in promoting professional business practices in the building industry and high quality, affordable housing is important to insuring Greenville citizens have the opportunity to own a home that meets their needs. My goal is to work with homebuilders to grow the association to its full potential.” |
