The Home Builders Association of South Carolina (HBA of SC) is a dynamic group of 6,400 builders and associate member firms across the state who pool information and efforts to provide the collective clout and muscle the home building industry needs…for self protection, for the benefits of its members, and for the protection of home buyers.

By meeting together, sharing ideas and mobilizing efforts, HBA of SC contributes to the economic growth of each individual member.

HBA of SC plays a key role in helping maintain consistently higher industry standards of conduct, quality, and ethics.  Membership in HBA of SC helps crystallize collective opinions…in order to effect change in Congress, the SC General Assembly, the courts and regulatory agencies.

Government & Regulatory Affairs. The most important benefit of membership is our involvement in the government and regulatory arenas. By representing you at the local, state and national levels, the association keeps you in business! Members are continually kept up to date regarding industry impacting laws and regulations.

Networking Opportunities. What better way to expand your business circle than by getting involved in a trade organizations dedicated to the building industry? Membership meetings, golf outings and seminars are just a few of the networking opportunities available to members.

3 in 1: A Package Deal. By joining your local home builders association, you are also joining the state and national associations. You will receive a wide range of services and benefits from each one. Staff members at each level in our three-tiered federation are here for our members and ready to assist you and your business.

Educational Opportunities. From educational seminars and workshops to targeted meetings and programs, association provides members the chance to stay current on issues and ideas crucial to success in the industry. Participation will ensure you stay ahead of your non-member competitors.

Insurance Programs. Several money-saving insurance programs are available exclusively to members through the local, state and national associations. When you join your local association, you become eligible to participate in our Self Insurers Fund (link this). This Fund is owned by the participating members. That means you will not be paying the huge expenses of some big insurance company. In fact, when we have a good year - you are the beneficiary. More importantly, this Fund is run by a board of HBA members. So you can be sure that every decision is in the best interest of the members of the Fund.

Advertising. Advertising opportunities are available through local, state and national newsletters and magazines, all of which are distributed to the entire association membership.

Marketing Opportunities/Sponsorships. Want to increase your business's visibility and credibility? Why not sponsor an association meeting or event? You'll have a captive audience at your fingertips and a great chance to promote your latest idea or product- all while supporting the association.
